Father's Day Saturday night at Stirling Truck Show 2008 saw the launch of a new benevolent fund, this one specifically for truckers or truckers' families in need.
Created in memory of long time trucker, Harold Morgan, by his daughter, Wendy Morgan-McBride, Highway in Heaven was marked by a candle lighting ceremony .The Memorial Highway in Heaven was designed to help, for example, a family who has suffered the loss of a trucker killed doing his or her job, or while they are on sick leave, or any other need that effects a trucking family's viability. All trucking families having a difficult time in their lives can apply for consideration. The Highway is not limited to lost truckers but is also for truckers who have suffered the loss of someone special to them. It may be a parent, spouse, child, sibling or friend they met on their travels.
